Joaquín Niemann delivered one of the most impressive performances of the 2026 LIV Golf season, going wire-to-wire at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster to capture the LIV Golf New York title and the biggest individual payday of the week.
The Chilean entered the final round with a two-shot advantage and never allowed the chasing pack to seriously threaten his position. A closing 2-under 69 was enough for Niemann to finish at 16-under par, three shots clear of Harold Varner III and four ahead of the players tied for third.
The victory was particularly significant because it came at a crucial stage of the LIV Golf season. New York was the penultimate individual event of the regular season, meaning players were competing not only for a huge payday but also for valuable points heading into the final stretch of the championship race. Niemann collected $4 million for his victory from the $20 million individual purse.

Joaquín Niemann takes home $4 million
Niemann was the clear standout of the tournament.
He opened with a 64, followed it with a 65, shot a 70 in the third round and closed with a 69. His four-round total of 268 put him at 16 under par and secured a three-shot victory.
For Niemann, the victory was his second LIV Golf individual title of 2026. In addition to the $4 million payday, he collected 200 points toward the season-long individual championship.
His performance also came at an important time for the Chilean, who was looking to strengthen his position among LIV Golf’s leading players. Niemann’s victory showed once again why he remains one of the league’s most dangerous competitors when he gets into contention.
Harold Varner III earns $2.25 million
Harold Varner III produced the best result of his LIV Golf season by finishing runner-up.
Varner entered the final round within striking distance of Niemann, but despite shooting a respectable 2-under 70, he could not close the gap. He finished at 13 under par after rounds of 69, 67, 65 and 70.
The runner-up finish earned Varner $2.25 million, giving him one of the largest individual paydays of his LIV Golf career.
Scott Vincent and Lee Westwood share $2.5 million
Scott Vincent and Lee Westwood finished tied for third at 9 under par.
Both players completed the tournament with 275 strokes and earned $1.25 million each.
Westwood appeared set to finish outright third before a bogey on the final hole dropped him into a tie with Vincent. Vincent, meanwhile, closed with a 6-under 66 to surge up the leaderboard.
The result was particularly notable for Westwood, whose strong performance put him among the leading players at an important point of the season.
Byeong Hun An finishes fifth
Byeong Hun An claimed fifth place at 7 under par and collected $800,000.
An shot rounds of 72, 68, 68 and 69 to finish with a 277 total. His consistent four-round performance allowed him to stay ahead of a group of players who finished six shots under par.
Three golfers split more than $1.8 million
Paul Casey, Thomas Pieters and Tom McKibbin finished tied for sixth at 6 under par.
Each player received $608,333, meaning the three golfers collectively took home more than $1.8 million.
Their finishes were among the strongest results outside the top five, demonstrating how quickly the payouts can remain substantial even as players move down the LIV Golf leaderboard.

Some of LIV Golf’s biggest names struggled
While Niemann and Varner were celebrating huge paydays, several of LIV Golf’s biggest stars endured difficult weeks.
Bryson DeChambeau finished tied for 38th at 7 over par and earned $137,500. Jon Rahm, meanwhile, finished tied for 41st at 8 over par and earned $130,500.
Tyrrell Hatton was 37th at 6 over par and earned $142,500, while Cameron Smith tied for 29th at 4 over par and collected $167,500.

Team competition adds another $10 million
The individual competition was not the only opportunity for players to make money in New York.
LIV Golf also distributed $10 million among the 13 teams competing in the team competition. Crushers GC took the team title, earning $3 million after finishing at 6 over par.
Legion XIII and Torque finished tied for second and each received $1.2 million. HyFlyers GC earned $700,000 for fourth, while Majesticks GC and Korean GC each received $625,000.
The remaining teams also received payouts, with RangeGoats collecting $200,000 for 13th place.

A major payday as LIV heads toward the season finale
The New York event represented another enormous financial opportunity for LIV Golf’s players, with a combined $30 million purse split between the individual and team competitions.
Niemann’s $4 million victory payday was the headline figure, but the event also produced seven-figure checks for Varner, Vincent and Westwood, while even several players near the bottom of the leaderboard walked away with $50,000.
The tournament also had major implications beyond the money. Jon Rahm secured his third consecutive LIV Golf individual season title at the event, while Niemann added another major victory to his 2026 campaign.
With the regular individual season moving toward its conclusion, the LIV Golf New York leaderboard showed just how much was at stake for players across the field. For Niemann, however, the week belonged entirely to him: four rounds, 16 under par, a three-shot victory and another $4 million added to his 2026 earnings.
