PRIZE MONEY PAYOUT OF EACH GOLFER AT THE 2026 GENESIS SCOTTISH OPEN

The 2026 Genesis Scottish Open once again delivered world-class golf at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland, while also offering one of the richest prize funds outside of the PGA Tour’s Signature Events. Co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour, the tournament featured many of the biggest names in golf competing for a share of a $9 million purse.  

As one of the final events before The Open Championship, the Genesis Scottish Open continues to attract an elite field every year. Along with valuable FedExCup and Race to Dubai points, players also had the opportunity to earn substantial prize money based on their finishing positions.  

The tournament champion will receive $1,575,000, while the runner-up earns $985,500. Third place is worth $590,850, with payouts gradually decreasing throughout the leaderboard. Even golfers who finish near the bottom of the players making the cut still take home respectable earnings, highlighting the financial rewards available at one of Europe’s premier golf tournaments.

  • 4th: $441,000
  • 5th: $373,500
  • 6th: $322,200
  • 7th: $287,550
  • 8th: $253,800
  • 9th: $233,100
  • 10th: $213,300  

Players finishing outside the top 10 also receive significant payouts. Eleventh place earns $197,100, while those finishing between 20th and 30th still collect six-figure or near six-figure checks. Golfers who make the cut but finish near the bottom of the standings receive more than $17,000, ensuring every player who survives the weekend leaves Scotland with meaningful earnings.  

The Genesis Scottish Open has grown into one of the most prestigious stops on the international golf calendar. Its partnership between the PGA Tour and DP World Tour has strengthened the field year after year, making it an ideal preparation for The Open Championship while rewarding players with one of the biggest purses in professional golf outside the major championships and Signature Events.  

Whether battling for the trophy or simply trying to climb the leaderboard, every golfer had plenty to play for in North Berwick, with millions of dollars on the line and valuable momentum heading into the final major championship of the season.
