Up-and-coming golf star Ludvig Aberg has revealed his reasons for turning down a contract to join LIV, including what he described as “red flags”.
Aberg, who played on Europe’s Ryder Cup-winning team before playing in the majors and winning his first PGA Tour title in November, said on the Eurosport podcast that his decision to play on the PGA Tour was influenced by this season.
He said he was “very confident” in the match.
LIV Golf League is operated by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
The 24-year-old said he received his latest LIV offer after ending his rookie season with a win at the RSM Classic, shooting 61-61 over the weekend to win his memorable first title.
